How Mastery works

  • Open the Mastery menu from Starter Island Sea 2, or use the inventory button to access it directly.
  • Equip the Melee, Sword, or Fruit you want to train.
  • Only the Melee, Sword, or Fruit you are currently using contributes active Mastery stats.
  • Kills are tracked on the equipped Melee, Sword, or Fruit , not as one shared universal level.
  • Kills contribute Mastery XP / kill credit based on enemy type: normal NPCs count as 1, normal bosses as 3, world bosses and Sea Beasts as 75, and raid bosses as 100.
  • After reaching a reward milestone, claim the bonus from the Mastery menu or it will not work on that Melee, Sword, or Fruit .
  • For active build math, the maximum active Mastery coverage is one currently used item. Luck, Damage, Crit Chance, Crit Damage, and the level 500 passive should be counted from that item only.
  • The maximum visible Mastery Point cap is 500 MP.

Mastery System FAQ
How many kills does it take to fully master one Melee, Sword, or Fruit?
A normal NPC-only grind takes 50,000 kills / Mastery XP to reach 500 MP. Level 250 is 12,500 kills / Mastery XP. Normal NPCs give 1 XP, normal bosses give 3, world bosses and Sea Beasts give 75, and raid bosses give 100 per kill, so higher-credit kills can reduce the literal kill count.
What does level 500 Mastery give?
A level 500 mastered Melee, Sword, or Fruit gives +32.5% Damage, +32.5% Luck, +2% Crit Chance, +25% Crit Damage, and a passive with 25% chance for 1.5x DMG, but the bonuses must be claimed from the Mastery menu before they work.
Do Melee, Sword, and Fruit Mastery bonuses stack?
No. Only the Melee, Sword, or Fruit you are currently using contributes active Mastery stats. Luck no longer stacks across all 3 equipped slots, so max Mastery Luck is +32.5% from the current item.
Why are my Mastery bonuses not working?
Open the Mastery menu and claim the earned bonus for that equipped Melee, Sword, or Fruit. Earned Mastery milestones do not apply until they are claimed.
Is Mastery account-wide?
No. Mastery is tracked per equipped Melee, Sword, or Fruit instead of as one shared account-wide level. Only the currently used item contributes active Mastery stats after its rewards are claimed.
Where do you open the Mastery System?
The Mastery System can be accessed from Starter Island Sea 2 or directly from the inventory button.
